Dagancun Fm
Type Locality and Naming
The formation was named by Chen Zepei et al in 1985. The type section is located at ca. 500 m southwest of Dagancun Village of Sanya City, in Hainan Province. Coordinate: 109°21′21″E, 18°35′N.
Synonym: （大干村组）
Lithology and Thickness
The formation is consisted by 3 parts: Lower part of dark grey polymictic meta-conglomerate; Middle part of grey thin-bedded slate and grey silty slate; and Upper part of grey medium-to-thick-bedded crystalline limestone. The formation, 380 m in thickness at the type section.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It has a conformable contact with the underlying Kongliecun Fm
Upper contact
It has a conformable contact with the overlying Kaoqingshan Fm
Regional extent
It is mainly exposed in the area from Yaricun Village of Baoting County to Zhi'ancun Village of Sanya City.
